FUNDS FOR PALESTINIANS IN EGYPT

Donate to directly assist families in need during the crisis

Hello, I am Wajiha Sasa, Honoray Consul of the State of Palestine in Costa Rica en Costa Rica.

We need your support to help displaced families affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

With your donations, we will send digital vouchers of 5,000 Egyptian pounds ($100), redeemable for food and medicine, delivered to homes in Egypt via an app.

In Egypt, there are more than 100,000 people in crisis, who have left their homes and are unable to supply their households with the basic necessities for food and health.

We have found a secure mechanism to transfer economic resources to Palestinian women fleeing war, designed by Costa Rican activists.

The funds raised will go to Talabat, a multinational food delivery service in the Middle East, after covering banking fees.

Only Palestinian women displaced by the war in Gaza benefit from this program. They are verified by The Network for Palestine. So far, we have supported more than 170 women, and our goal is to reach 1,000 in one year.

Your contribution is essential to support more families in the crisis. Click on "Contribute" and we will send you the information on how to proceed with your donation.

Solidarity association in Egypt

Since January 2024, Network For Palestine (NFP) has been dedicated to improving the living conditions of displaced Gazan families in Cairo. These families face numerous challenges; unable to obtain working permits, many Palestinians struggle to cover the cost of their living expenses. Monthly rent payments present a problem even for the many families living in substandard, unfurnished apartments. In addition, those suffering from severe injuries from the war often lack the funds to pay for treatment; others who have loved ones trapped in Gaza are faced with the additional burden of saving money to support their families. In response to the enormous pressures displaced Gazans face, Network for Palestine is run almost entirely by palestinian volunteers who came out of Gaza during the current war and dedicated their time and effort to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why prioritize aid for Palestinians in Egypt when the situation in Gaza is clearly more critical?

The blockade on Gaza has caused an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Thousands of Palestinians have sought refuge in Egypt, where they face a precarious situation due to the lack of documentation.

In this emergency, it is crucial to support humanitarian organizations working in Gaza and Egypt. Your donations can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Join the cause!

Why not give the money directly to the people?

Sending international remittances can be very expensive, especially for small amounts. Additionally, many Palestinian women in Egypt lack the necessary documentation to receive transfers.

To expedite aid and respect the beneficiaries’ privacy, we have chosen a credit system. Each family will receive the equivalent of 5,000 Egyptian pounds ($100) to purchase food, medicine, or other essential items through the Talabat platform. This solution allows women to choose what to buy and where to receive their products, ensuring their dignity and autonomy.

Accessing these credits only requires a mobile phone with an Egyptian number, making distribution easier. By consolidating purchases on a single platform, transaction costs are reduced, and the process is streamlined, ensuring that funds reach those who need them most.

Why is the aid directed to women?

Women are impact multipliers. When women have more opportunities, entire families benefit. They tend to invest more in their children’s education and health. About 70% of the victims in Gaza have been women and children. Studies show that investing in women drives greater long-term development. Supporting women is not only fair but also an effective strategy to improve many lives and achieve more equitable and sustainable development.
